Pathology: 

Bilateral large ventricles and hippocampus and/or entorhinal cortex atrophy –> think Alzheimer’s disease 

Huntington’s disease involves atrophy of caudate and putamen 

Parkinson’s disease involves the substantia nigra 

Multisystem atrophy involves the striatonigral and olivopontocerebellar regions
