Absence seizures = 3Hz Spike and Wave morphology 

Children without seizures can also develop prominent high voltage rhythmic 3 Hz delta slowing with hyperventilation, particularly if they are hypoglycemic. Slowing with hyperventilation is considered a benign finding and not related to epilepsy.
