Speech apraxia
Definition
Articulation errors that are variable/inconsistent over time and affect the prosody of speech (tone, stress, rhythm) and word pronounciation.

Pseudobulbar palsy
Spastic dysarthria, with harsh mono-pitched voice. UMN lesion impairing bilateral corticobulbar tracts. Dysarthria, dysphagia, facial and tongue weakness, and emotional lability.

Ataxic dysathria
Imprecise "scanning" speech, inconsistent errors of articulation. Can be seen from cerebellar dysfunction and alcohol intoxication.

Loss of language fluency, comprehension, and repetition. From large dominant hemisphere lesions.
