Clinical presentation + left sided atrophy of brain in imaging is consistent with Rasmussen’s encephalitis. Seizures can eventually develop into epilepsia partialis continua (EPC), which can be very refractory to ASMs. 

Hemispherectomy has been found as the only therapy to achieve seizure freedom in patients with Rasmussen’s encephalitis
