Temporal lobe is the most common origin origin point for focal seizures
– seizures in this area can present with aura of unusual smell/taste, automatisms (lip-smacking, hand rubbing), or a feeling of deja vu
– dominant temporal lobe seizures are more likely to also have impaired awareness
