Patients with DMD will have myopathic changes on EMG. 

Myopathic changes on EMG: 

1. Early recruitment of short duration 
2. low amplitude of MUAPS 

 

Chronic neuronal injury on EMG: 

1. High amplitude MUAPs with reduced recruitment
