This patient is experiencing short-lasting, unilateral neuralgiform headache attacks with Conjunctival injection and tearing (SUNCT). It is known for its resistance to drug therapy but lamotrigine has emerged as the treatment of choice for SUNCT. It may also respond to steroids, topiramate, or gabapentin may work as well.
